All our staff members are licensed professionals who volunteer their time and give expert and compassionate care to those who need it.
Dr. Laura Voss, DO
Dr. Laura Voss, DO is our primary physician and clinic director. She has been a family physician for 20 years. She has worked in the private sector, rural Cass County and served as an Assistant Professor of Community and Family Medicine for UMKC’s Family Medicine Residency Program. She has also volunteered for the Sojourner Clinic which is run by the UMKC medical students and this clinic serves as the model that influenced PAX Community Health. She holds a bachelor of science degree in biology with a minor in chemistry from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. She obtained her medical degree, graduating magna cum laude, from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences. Dr. Voss is board-certified in family practice.
Linda Vargas
Linda Vargas sits on the clinic Board as Treasurer and has been a volunteer since the clinic opened in 2017. You’ll most often find her checking in patients at the front desk.

Linda has been in the medical field (mostly on the business side) for over 22 years, and is excited to be involved with a clinic that can treat patients at no cost to them and without any restrictions. Linda’s day job is working for Truman Medical Centers, and she also teaches Medical Coding part time.
Kenya J. Campbell LPN, CPC
Raised in Kansas City MO, Kenya began her career in healthcare as a medical assistant in 1996. She is a graduate of the PN program at Penn Valley Community College. Kenya has been a Practical Nurse since 2003 with an extensive background in end of life care as well as case management. She holds certifications as Certified Professional Coder as well as ACLS, IV Therapy and CPR Instructor. Currently she is a Senior Clinical Consultant with an Insurance company in the greater Kansas City area. She’s also been a substitute school Nurse with a local district for the last 9 years. Kenya’s strong sense of duty and dedication to serve the community are what drives her toward medical excellence.
She has been married for 18 years and has two children, and enjoys baking, traveling, and music.
Steve Gish
Steve does computer stuff, and helps out where he can.
He sits on the board as Head of IT, and makes sure this site keeps running and our data is all safe and secure.
Don't worry, he's not allowed near any sharp objects.
